no
How does rise and fall differ from a normal waltz to V. waltz?
we do not rise as high and should never rise above our normal standing height
What is the hardest part when first showing a student V. Waltz
the speed of the music
How do you overcome speed being an issue for a student in V. waltz?
Have the student focus very strongly on the downward beat of the music emphasize the use of the supporting leg throughout
Give man’s rise and fall for the left turn
-Rise on 1
-up on 2 and 3
-lower on 3
- rise at the end of 4
- No foot rise on 5 and 6

Why is there only body rise on the backward half of V. waltz turns?
because of the speed of the music, if the foot rise was used it would affect the balance of both partners
