yes. The amount of turns may be adjusted for example, left ad-lib could be danced without turn

Are there any options for the right ad-lib?
yes. the right ad-lib could be danced without turn. 1/2 turn right over steps 1-4 could be danced as follows; 1/4 right on step 1 (pivot) and 1/4 right over steps 2-4

the movement that best typifies the Fred Astaire styling is the upper body action in the foxtrot danced primarily on the Astaire rock movements the Astaire’s styling utilizes both normal and counter sway in its execution.

yes. When dancing the triple twinkle, there is a slight body turn to the right between steps 5 and 6 to prepare for right-side position

What is a grapevine?
a series of steps alternating from “forward to side” to “back to side” usually danced for no more than 4 quicks. Soft knee pulses
