What is digestion?

A

Digestion is all about making large insoluble molecules of food into smaller soluble ones- which the body can then absorb and use (breaking down food)

A

Digestion starts here, where teeth have a good chew and mix food with saliva, which contains enzymes. This digest starch into glucose

What is the main function of stomach?

A

Here the food mixes with enzymes which digest the proteins. There is hydrochloric acid to kill bacteria and give low pH for the enzymes to work

because your brain tells your body what to do and if your brain will not recieve enough energy, oxygen, blood then it will stop working
