What is dietary fibre?
Dietary fibre or cellulose is not a nutrient and is therefore not digested by the body.
Why is dietary fibre neccessary?
It is necessary to aid the removal of waste material from the body and prevent constipation.
Why is it much healthier to eat whole wheat and breakfast cereals?
It is much healthier to eat whole wheat and breakfast cereals such as rolled oats as not only do they contain dietary fibre but also higher in vitamins and mineral salts.
