The concepts supporting the dharma in business are:

- Public Good – business people should not work solely for personal benefit but also for the public good. While seeking personal benefit we must meet the needs of others.
- Effectiveness – optimal use of resources, preserving them for future generations
- Innovation – beyond survival, business must trigger continuous innovation, seeking effective solutions to meet the economic and social expectations.
- Learning – change and continuity have to coexist, so companies have to feed off society through processes of change, challenge and training.

Varna Caste Levels
A
- Brahmin (priests) are the highest caste, according to tradition they come from the mouth of Brahma
- Kshatriya (military – political class) come from the shoulders of Brahma
- Vaishyas (merchants, artisans and agricultural and livestock), were formed from Brahma’s hips
- Sudra (slaves) which come from the feet of Brahma
- Untouchables, or Dalits (pariahs, mlechas), are a class so low that it is considered outside the varna’s system
