Describe the movement.

Less of an artistic movement, more of an effort to integrate traditional crafts with industrial mass-production techniques.
An association of artists, architects, designers and industrialists important in the development of modern architecture. Their goal was to establish a partnership between art and industry to improve the competitiveness, bringing the highest standards of design to mass-products.
