What are the negative impacts deterioting he site of Pompeii and Herculaneum?
A
Weather, weeds, parasites, birds, rain, poor restoration on part of the archaeologists, looting and tourism.

How is tourism a double edged sword?
A
Tourism provides much needed funds for conserving the site, and yet, provides opportunities for people to unintentionally destroy the site.

Why does Herculaneum have a better chance of being preserved in the future then Pompeii?
A
Herculaneum is much smaller than Pompeii and has extra funding from the Packard Humanities Institute and the Herculaneum Conservation Project.
