Archaelogy- Process of an Archaeological Project Flashcards
What’s the first step of an Archaeological Excavation?
The first occurs when in most case, a random civilian would stumble across some ancient remains and so would contact the nearest musuilem to contact a team of Archaeologists to excavate the remains.
What happens after Archaeologists confirm a site?
Archaeologists would build trial trenches though out the site to find the most likely spot to have artifacts?
What Archaeologists do after excavating the site?
Archaeologists would record the remains they’ve found.
What would Archaeologists do with the artefacts once they’re down writing them down?
Archaeologists would examine and investigate the artefacts.
What would Archaeologists do when they’re finished with examining and investigating the finds?
After they’re done with examining and investigating the artefacts, they would analyse and interpret the finds they’ve collected.
Once they’re done everything they could do with the artefacts, what would Archaeologists do last?
If the artefacts are genuine, the archaeologists would release the information about the newly found artefacts to the public for future study and comparing to similar artefacts and sites.
