The theory basically states that they only way to be happy is getting what you want in life. Only fulfilled if you get what you want which is a hard thing to do. This is a very widespread assumption in society and is at the heart of the self-help improvement.

When you get what you want in life but then realize you did not even want it. People often get what they want and overtime become less satisfied with their life.

Yes, to fix this problem you should only purse fully-informed desires.
