- CHANGE IN ACTIVITY LEVELS
- reduction of energy & constant feelings of tiredness
- unable to leave bed or house - DISTURBANCE OF SLEEPING PATTERNS
- insomnia - CHANGES IN APETITE
- significant weight changes , weight loss or weight gain

A
- DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING ATTENTION
- slower responses or decision making - INCLINED TO FOCUS ON NEGATIVE ASPECTS
- ignore positives
- recurring thoughts can lead to self harm or suicide - ABSOLUTIST THINKING
- seeing things in absolute terms, either entirely good of entirely bad
- e.g. negative situation = disaster
