Sezary Syndrome is characterised by
T cell lymphoma + Eryhtroderma
What is Erythroderma
Intense, widespread reddening of the skin
• Associated with exfoliation (skin peeling off in scales or layers)
Tx of eryhtroderma
Admission
• Identify and treat the underlying cause ( 30% are Idiopathic)
• Basic supportive measures;
• Oil-based emollient, Warmth, Fluid (IV if necessary
Tx of Eczema herpeticum
IV Acyclovir
+/- penicillin for secondary infection
Ophthalmological opinion
Tx of immunobullous emergency
Basic supportive measures;
• Oil-based emollient, warmth, oral care +/- feeding measures, IV fluids
Treatment of acute pustular psoriasis
Ciclosporin, acitretin, biological
Tx of Toxic Epidermal necrolysis
Admit ITU and stop causative agent
• Basic supportive measures;
• Oil-based emollient, Warmth, Fluid (IV if
• necessary)
• Exclude infection
• Prednisolone, IVIg, Biological agent
