Step 1 hands
Perform Hand Hygiene
1. Cover all surfaces of hands with sanitizer
2. Rub hands together until hands are completely dry.

Apply denture cleanser

Handle the denture carefully to avoid damage

Thoroughly brush the inner surfaces of the upper or lower dentures (with a denture brush or tooth brush)

Thoroughly brush the outer surfaces of the upper or lower dentures

Thoroughly brush denture chewing surfaces of upper or lower dentures
Step 12 rinse
Rinse the denture using clean, cool water
Step 13 cup
Place the denture in the rinsed cup
Step 14 water
Add cool, clean water to the denture cup
Step 15 rinse 2
Rinse equipment
1. denture brush or toothbrush
Step 16 return
Return equipment to storage
Step 17 discard
Discard the protective lining in an appropreat container

Remove gloves, turning inside out

dispose of gloves in an appropreate container
Step 20 maintain
Maintain respectful, courteous interpersonal interactions at all times

Place the call light or signaling device within easy reach of the resident
