Elevator Trim Stall

  • Execution

A
SETUP:
- 1500' Dual, clearing turns
EXECUTION:
- Reduce throttle and decel. to 61
- Below 110 flaps 10, below 85 flaps full
- Enter a normal approach attitude
- TRIM the a/c to maintain 61
- Full power, pitch to stall
RECOVERY:
- Reduce AOA
- ReTRIM a/c
- 1st notch flaps up
- Positive rate/60 kias 2nd notch and up

Secondary Stall

  • MRA/Setup
  • Execution
  • Recovery

SETUP:
- 1,500' Dual, clearing turns
EXECUTION:
- Throttle idle and decel. to 70
- Enter a normal approach attitude
- Flaps full, pitch to stall
- Full power, pitch UP
RECOVERY:
- Reduce AOA
- Max. power
- 1st notch flaps up
- Positive rate/60 kias 2nd notch and up

Cross Control Stall

  • MRA/Setup

SETUP:
- 3,000' Dual, clearing turns
EXECUTION:
- Throttle idle
- Decel. and Maintain 68
- Roll into a Medium banked turn (simulating overshoot)
- Apply excessive rudder in direction of turn
- Hold bank constant with opposite aileron
- Increase back pressure
RECOVERY:
- Reduce AOA
- Neutralize aileron and rudder

Accelerated Stall

SETUP:
- 3,000' Dual, clearing turns
EXECUTION:
- Decel. and Maintain 68
- Roll into a 45 deg. bank
- Neutralize rudder/ailerons
- Apply firm back pressure to stall
RECOVERY:
- Reduce AOA
- Full Power
- Level wings/maintain coordination
- Positive rate/climb away
