• Women who migrate to the uk do job roles which are feminine such as nannies, cleaners etc.
• Migrants fill lower paid jobs which British women themselves are not prepared to do
• Darkside of feminised migration is that with women being more vulnerable than men more likely to be trafficked by people smuggling gangs into illegal trades such as prostitution

EG-asians describe themselves as Brasians
Transnational identity : individuals do not feel like they are part of any country, they are an international being
Hierachy identity:individual sees one part of their national identity as being more important than the rest
EG- may live in Britain but see themselves as being from their country of origin
