Potential to hold MPs accountable for wrongdoing or misconduct between general elections, giving more power to constituents and increasing transparency in the political system.

MPs expenses scandal 2009
It was revealed that many Members of Parliament (MPs) had been making questionable and in some cases, fraudulent expense claims. These claims included expenses for items such as mortgages, rent, and even luxury home improvements. The scandal led to public outrage, resignations, and disciplinary actions
