Tell me about the rectum

What is the functions of the caecum, ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon and sigmoid colon?
RE ABSORPTION OF WATER, secretion of mucous and vitamin production. (Bacteria)
What is tenesmus?
The feeling of needing to pass bowels despite an empty bowel.
What is dysphagia?
It’s a health problem associated with the gastro system that happens when the swallowing reflex is compromised and there is a great risk of the person choking or aspirating fluids/food down their lungs.
It can be due to vascular, structural or neurological causes.
What is hiatus hernia
This occurs when the stomach moves up through the diaphragm at the hiatus.
A hiatus hernia can cause regurgitation, flatulence and acid vomiting.
What is cholecystitis?
An inflammation, either acute or chronic of the gall bladder.
