deck 3 Flashcards
1
Q
EKG with the following findings:
- QRS duration 110 ms without specific BBB pattern
- LAD with rS in inferior leads
- No hypertrophy
- What should be coded?
A
- Code for NIVCD
- do NOT code for LAFB because duration must be between 0.8 & 0.10 s to meet hemiblock criteria
2
Q
EKG finding in pt with advanced primum ASD?
A
biventricular failure
3
Q
Pt with history of chronic HFrEF p/w EKG shown below. What is the diagnosis?
A
likely SVT with alternating bundle 2/2 dig toxicity
note that bidirectional VT is also possible (but less likely since there morphology of wide-complex QRS is more c/w aberrancy)
4
Q
LBBB morphology criteria for dx of VT using Brugada method? (6)
A
presence of ANY of the following suggests VT:
Rt precordial findings consistent w/ non-HPS activation:
- delayed intrinsicoid deflection (> 60 ms) in V1 or V2
- Rt precordial LV activation pattern: R > 30 ms in V1 or V2
notched S in V1 or V2
monophasic R in V6
qR in V6
notched QS in V6
