In PM mode, how does a CJCT open the train doors?
The doors work in conjunction with the door relay information on the TCMS screen.
CJCT must use the correct platform side train doors open and close button on the door indicator panel.
In RM mode, how does the CJCT open and close the train doors?
The doors work in conjunction with the Doors Enable Switch on the Bypass/Overide Panel to the correct side (left or right)

How do you sleep a train in UTO mode?
- Seek approval from TC/DTC, and remove DDU cover
- Insert train key, turn to unlock, then lock again, and remove key (disengages UTO)
- Ensure all bypass switches are normalised
- Press AUX off button for 2-3 seconds on the UTO panel (MPU shutdown progress will appear on TCMS, then go black)
- Inform TC/DTC
- If above fails, or train is not docked correctly, activate ATC bypass with TC/DTC approval
How do you sleep a train in PM or RM Modes?
- Seek approval from TC/DTC
- Master controller set to full-service brake.
- Turn mode selector to ‘SHUTDOWN’
- Turn train key to ‘LOCKED’ and remove
- Ensure all bypass switches are normalised
- If passengers are onboard, make an announcement advising lights will go dark, and to remain calm.
- Press AUX off button for 2-3 seconds on the UTO panel (MPU shutdown progress will appear on TCMS, then go black)
- If train fails to sleep, seek approval to activate ATC bypass switch.
- Inform TC/DTC
What is the train Wake Up procedure?
- Seek approval from TC / DTC
- Remove DDU cover (in direction of travel)
- Ensure all bypass switches are normalised and Mode Selector set to ‘Shutdown’ and ‘Full Service’ Brake engaged
- Push and hold AUX ON on the UTO panel
- Train will initialise HVAC, Lights, PACIS and TCMS
- Report status to TC / DTC

What is the standard dwell time?
30 seconds from full stop at station, to doors closed and locked.
