A

autosomal recessive genetic condition
mutation of CF gene encodes a protein
causes disruption of chloride channel
affects lungs, pancreas, liver, intestines, sex organs
affects secretory glands
repeated lung infections due to thickening secretions
impeding antimicrobial function and cause mucus to thicken
puberty causes obstructive airways

A
breathing difficulties- gets progressively worse
productive cough
sinus infection
clubbing of fingers and toes
wheezing
salty skin
big appetite- poor weight gain
poor growth 
bulky smelly, bowel movements
