What is an ‘ideal product’? Is it possible?
An ideal product is an inclusive design - anyone can use it. It can’t exist, but manufacturers should make products for as many people as possible.
What is exclusive design?
Designing for a particular group of people, such as car seats for babies or stair lifts for the elderly.
Who finds stereotypes useful in the process and why?
Designers, manufacturers and retailers find them useful so that they have a large target to aim their products at.
What can sustainability help us work towards?
A better quality of life and a higher number of people who can survive.
Should a product cause offence?
No. Extensive research should be conducted to make sure a product is not offensive.
