Accurate records are essential to ensure patients receive necessary, appropriate + safe treatment, as well as proof of correct procedures being carried out + legislation being followed

all records should ensure that all maintenance inspection and testing activities are kept up to date and properly stored - should be kept for at least 5 years as external companies such as CQC can ask to inspect all of these types of records
Records include
a legionella risk assessment + written scheme of actions + control measures
dental autoclave service records - these are from internal and external checks done daily, weekly, quarterly and annually
ultrasonic/washer disinfects testing records
lab slips for handlers to be aware of impressions that have been disinfected
surgery checklists to ensure adequate and correct cleaning procedures have been followed
