SM will be mobilised as a (CBLO) Cross border liaison officer.

What are the duties of a CBLO?

Answer 4

Ensure that all LFB crews are briefed & comply with IC’s operational plan.
Ensure LFB crews only take instruction from their own officers in line with chain of command & IC’s management structure.
Ensure sufficient resources to allow LFB crews to set up our own SSOW.
Informing impacted FRS of available LFB resources.
Monitoring crews welfare/reliefs requested.
Any safety event (SERD) involving LFB resources is investigated by our own SAI’s.
Identify areas of improvement and best practice for LFB crews/equipment and report it into IMP via (IMPD)
Incident management database.

Mobilisations to cross border incidents are?

1 pump or special appliance - 1 x CM
2 pumps - 1 x WM (SM Informed)
3-4 pumping appliances/specials - mobilise SM (CBLO)
5-6 pumping appliances/specials - GM
7-10 pumping appliances/specials - DAC
11 and above mobilise AC as (CBLO)
