Validity
the extent to which a test measures what it sets out to measure
What are the three types of Validity?
- Concurrent Validity
- Predictive Validity
- Construct Validity
What is Concurrent Validity?
a newer untested measure is compared with another measure that is widely regarded as measuring the same property

used to make predictions about the persons performance in some place or time
What is Construct Validity?

What are the three approaches to interpretation?
- Norm-referenced
- Criterion-referenced
- Client-referenced
What are Norm-Referenced interpretations?
a representative sample of individuals who are the same age as the clients when using standardized tests
What are Criterion-Referenced interpretations?
sole focus on client without comparing to others in a similar group
What are Client-Referenced interpretations?
