Q

How’s the M&B points

A

These elements have a very high melting and boiling points due to the large need to break strong covalent bonds that require a large amount of energy to break

Q

Explain why graphite is different from the rest of covalent networks

A

I’m graphite the carbon atoms form layers of and hexagonal rings that are held by LDF

the forces between layers are much weaker than c.b which allows layers to slide across each other
