What are five types of counseling?
Event Oriented, Performance, Directive, Non-Directive, Combined.
What is counseling?
Counseling is subordinate-centered communication that produces a plan outlining actions necessary for subordinates to achieve individual or organizational goals.
What are the requirements of successful counseling?
Establish communications.
Get the person to feel at ease.
Listen to the problem.
Don’t put the person down by showing him his problem is common.
Develop confidence between the counselee and yourself.
When should initial counseling be completed on NCOs?
Upon Reception and Integration
