What is a positive correlation?
When one variable increases as does the other variable.
What is a negative correlation?
When one variable increases the other variable decreases .
What is a co-variable?
The variables investigated in a Correlation
What is a correlation?
When a researcher investigates a relation between two variables.
What is zero correlation?
As one variable either the increases or decreases the other does the opposite. There is no relation between the variables.
On a graph what does a positive correlation look like?
The line of best fit goes up diagonally.
On a graph what does a negative correlation look like?
The line of best fit goes down diagonally.
On a graph what does a zero correlation look like?
Dots at random places on the graph
What is the main difference between an experiment and a correlation?
Correlation say is variables are related and an experiment shows the difference between variables.
What is a similarity of correlations and experiments?
They both have hypothesis and aims.
