Q

strength of correlation

A

-variables occur naturally that cannot be measured experimentally such as the size of someone’s head and intelligence can be investigated which cannot be done in an experiment
-these normally high levels of ecological validity as participants are in their normal environment

9
Q

weakness of correlation

A

-it is difficult to establish cause and effect between variables. Just because they’re correlated does not mean that one causes the other
-there are issues with construct validity as this mainly uses quantitative data as we may not measure something accurately
