What is a correlation coefficient?
You use a method that gives you a value between -1 and 1 which determines the type of correlation
What is a correlation?
The relationship/ trend between two factors
Why is a perfect negative correlation coefficient?
-1
Why is a perfect positive correlation coefficient?

What are the three strengths of using a correlation?
1 can be quite cheap and easy to conduct and you can sometimes use existing data
2 highlight factors that have a relationship which can trigger experimental research to find a cause and effect
3 often had high ecological validity, because you can use existing data
What is the weakness of using a correlation?
It can’t show the cause and effect, just shows the relationship between two factors
