3 purposes to hold Coronial Inquest?

A

1st:
Fact someone had died, ID of person, cause of death, When & Where occurred, circumstances.
2nd:
Coroners opinion make comments/statement, public consumption to prevent death again.
3rd:
May recommend further enquiry by investigating authorities if it would serve public interest.

Sudden death - Process involved in dealing with?

A
  • Scence examination. FCP
  • Verification of death.
  • Doctors medical certificate.
  • Who is informed of death. NOK, NIIO, Coroner.
  • ID deceased.
  • Inform Coroner, Remove deceased.
