Every person in occupation of land/building or a driver of a car, found with a firearm in it, is deemed in possession, unless they can prove it isn’t theirs and someone else owns it.

B - Pistols, providing member is an owner of a club.

Answer 5

Every person in possession of a firearm, airgun, pistol, prohibited mag or part, restricted wpn, must give their:
Full name
Address
DOB

If refuses, MUST caution first before arrest.

Prohibited firearms?

Answer 6

• Semi-automatic firearm (except a pistol) other than,
• 0.22 cal or lower rimfire, 10 rnd mag or less.
• semi-auto shotgun & no more than 5 rnd mag.
• Pump-action shotgun, capable of being used with detachable mag.
• Pump-action shotgun capable of holding more than 5 rnds internal or mag.
• Any other firearm under Order in Council, s74A.

0-15yrs - Cannot own firearm/airgun, can use under supervision of licence holder.
16-17yrs - Require licence for both airgun and firearm.
18+yrs - Requires licence for firearm but not airgun.

Duties of a licence holder?

Answer 8

Keep licence legiable and undamaged.
Produce licence to Police on demand, or within 7 days.
Change address, notify Police within 30 days.
Report in writing to Police any theft, loss or destruction.
If death or injury from firearm, report to Police ASAPrac.
Renew licence every 10 yrs, unless revoked, surrendered or previously not held one, then 5 yrs.
