RESONS FOR YOUTH DIVERSITY: EDUCATION AND AGE
- Youth have higher work force participation
- 92% of youth females are enrolled in tertiary education
-23% Youth are unemployed
……
Age diversity, has contrast in data, someone who’s 15 has a very different life to a 24 year old - may live at home still etc.
Education, 15 year old may have a part time job, be in school still a 24 year old could have a career, maybe in a different degree of education etc.

Raising awareness through.. organisations such as Headspace which advocate for Youth mental health, offer support groups and counselling..
Education the community through…News columns, Social media effort and promotion of events each assist the community (despite youths negative portrayal in media) A school newsletter or local paper reporting on Youth great initiatives etc…
Promoting the rights of the group….. Websites and forums online allow Youth to engage in sharing their opinions, help shape government policies. It highlights issues within Youth and promotes the group as a whole.

what do ‘Headspace Australia’ do?

A

Headspace Australia is a National Youth Mental Health Foundation which provides early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
Headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, work and study support.
