Q

Describe the benefits and limitations of online convenience.

A
    • Online commerce can give consumers access to wide range of products, 24/7. A great hope for online marketing is that it will give great convenience to the customers and also decrease environmental impact. it will also cause reduction of stores and therefore we will end up having better land use.
    • But it will not decrease the environmental impact of production and also there are some unforseen displacements of environmental impacts.
      • As an example, when digital photography was introduced, the need to print the photos and use chemicals, paper and water decreased. but at the same time, many photos were taken and they were uploaded in the internet which requires electricity to keep them.
    • online marketing can lead to social isolation, because people leave their houses for shopping and its sort of a social contact.
