Convection Flashcards
1
Q
What is a convection current?
A
The cooler fluid nearby is denser than the heated fluid. The denser cooler fluid falls to the bitten and the less dense hotter fluid rises.
2
Q
What is convection?
A
When moving particles carry energy from one place to another.
3
Q
What are convection currents used in?
A
Some central heating systems use a convection current to transfer energy from the boiler to the radiators. Convection currents are also used in some domestic hot water systems.
