A trade theory that deals with the natural order and movement of trade. Adheres to the idea of laissez faire (invisible hand); individuals are the best agents to solve economic problems.
Descriptive Theory
A trade theory that prescribes whether governments should intervene in trade.

A global stratification theory that says that countries are divided into either core, semi-peripheral, and peripheral countries based on their position and relationship in the global economy.
