Contact dermatitis treatment
A
Avoid offending agent. Cool compresses.
Apply thin film triamcinolone 0.1% topical cream (15g or 30 g tube) to affected area 2-4 x a day.
(Side of tube says “not form ophthalmic use” but reassure pt that medicine is fine to use as prescribed. Same med under brand name Kenalog is FDA approved for injection into the eye. So if some triamcinolone cream gets into eye, its nothing to worry about.
