Itch w/lots of conj redness, chemosis, lid edema

A

Alrex(0.2% loteprednol steroid) qid (age 12+) or

FML 0.1 % q 2 h x 2 days, then qid x1 week, then bid x 1 week

When sx controlled, switch to zaditor etc for on-going sx control

Chronic allergies

A

(Pure mast cell stabilizer Not effective) so use zaditor, etc instead
Of alocril 2% bid (ages 3+) or Cromolyn sodium 4% qid (age 4+)

A

OTC bid (antihistamine-mast cell stabilizer) zaditor, alaway, claritin eye, refresh eye itch relief

Rx patanol bid or Bepreve (b&l bedpostsidine) bid or acular qid
