someone who is attracted to a person based on their level of intelligence
gender dysphoria
distressing result of mismatch between person biological sex and their social gender. not mental disorder just stress of consequences of living in aw ay that does not match their identity.
treatment for gender dysphoria
observation in changed sex role for 1 year first line
plus oestrogen and androgen suppression therapy hair removal, and genital surgery
women is same then just androgens and bilarteal mastectomy and pahlloplasty
transgender children
under age of 18 - referral to child and adolescent mental health services CAMHS
under 17 - prescribed GnRH analogues to delay puberty
over 17 - GIC to discuss other treatment pitons
chdilrens mental health disorders include
emotional disorders such as depression
behavioural disorders such as conduct disorder
neurodevelopment disorders such as ADHD
other conditions such as eating and tics
