What does divorce or death do to an affinity relationship?
Ends affinity relationship created by marriage, UNLESS, a child of that marriage is living. If so, the marriage is considered to continue as long as the child lives.

Spouse, parents of spouse, child of spouse that is NOT adopted by employee, stepmother, stepfather, son-in-law, daughter-in-law

great grandparents, great grandchildren, uncles and aunts- only if they are siblings of parents, nephew, niece

Grandparent or grandchild of spouse, siblings of spouse, spouse of anyone related by 2nd degree consanguinity which would be: spouses of siblings, spouses of grandchildren, spouses of grandparent (if not a grandparent)
