Mild Pain

+/- Photophobia
Mild conjunctival injection

When is vision affected?
A
Only if full thickness conjunctival laceration with globe penetration

Special Test to perform
A
Eyelid eversion
Seidel test to rule out globe perforation

Management
A
Remove foreign body
Erythromycin 0.5% Ointment
Apply 1 cm ribbon to affected eye qid
2 - 3 days
Refer to Optho if suspected globe laceration
