Why did the second front strain the grand alliance?
Stalin was annoyed they delayed the opening of the second front and thought they were waiting until the USSR was crippled by Germany

He was suspicious of Stalin’s motives in Eastern Europe and was convinced Soviet troops would remain in countries liberated from Germany

Stalin wanted control over Poland but Churchill was suspicious of the motives
