conclusion Flashcards
ts summary
Shakespeare achieves this by presenting Macbeth as a tragic and noble hero who has many good qualities, but Macbeth is also extremely ambitious which ends up being his fatal flaw. Shakespeare further makes Macbeth fascinating through his peculiar relationship with his wife, in which he allows her to manipulate and continually criticise him. Additionally Shakespeare makes Macbeth memorable due to the immense guilt he experiences after each of the murders which leads him to hallucinate and conjure up the ghost of one of his victims. Finally Macbeth is made to be a captivating character, when he feels intense emotions of despair at the end of the play, but then quickly becomes a brave and fearless warrior who is ready for battle, which leads him to his tragic death.
