What is a viewpoint?
Apparent distance and angle from which the camera views and records the subject
Framing
Drawing focus to the subject in the photo by blocking other parts of the image with something in the scene
What is cropping?
Cropping is the removal of unwanted outer areas
Leading lines
lines that appear in a photo that have been framed an positioned by the photographer to draw the viewer eye towards a specific point of interest
S-curves
Is a line that travel back and forth horizontally through your image as the eye proceeds vertically through the scene.
Rule of thirds
Subject of the image is placed at the intersection of the dividing lines or along one of the lines itself
Symmetry
The two halves of the image are mirror images of each other
Scale
reefers to the overall physical size of an artwork or object in the artwork. We always relate scale to the size of the human body
Proportion
Comparing size of objects, or amount of one thing to the whole
Perspective
refers to the sense of depth or spatial relationship between objects in a photo, along with their dimensions with respect to what viewer of the image sees
Linear perspective
Creating an illusion of depth on a flat surface.
