What are the components of fitness?
Cardiovascular endurance, Muscular endurance, Power, Speed, Strength and Flexibility.
What is the definition of cardiovascular endurance?
The ability of the heart and lungs to continuously supply oxygen over a long period of time.
What is the definition of muscular endurance?
The ability of the muscles to work continuously over a period of time without these muscles becoming fatigued.
Definition of Power?
Maximum speed x Maximum strength
Definition of Speed?
The ability of the body to move as quickly as possible
Flexibility?
The range of movements around a joint
Name the 3 different types of strength?
explosive, dynamic and static

The amount of strength applied to an immovable object
Dynamic?
Ability of the muscles to work continuously over a period of time.
Explosive?
Strength used in one short, sharp burst of movement
