Cases and non-cases of disease are identified before the defying exposure than investigated.
What are cross-sectional studies?
Exposures and disease outcomes are identified at the same time within a specific population of subjects
What is a type one statistical error? A.k.a. Alpha error?
False positive. Probability of detecting a difference when none exist and that’s rejecting the null hypothesis.
What is a type to statistical air? A.k.a. Beta error?
False negative. Probability of failing to detect a difference when one exist in this failing to reject the no hypothesis.
