causes: same as KD Yin Def and HT Yin Def, emotional issues
sx: lower back soreness, tinnitus and deafness, dizziness, mental restlessness, insomnia, poor memory, palpitations, fever, afternoon flush, nocturnal emissions with dreams, night sweats
tongue: red, peeled or red tip or midline cracked to the tip
pulses: rapid, floating, empty; hollow
Disharmony Between KD and HT
causes: LV Qi Stag, overwork and poor diet
sx: irritability, tiredness, abdominal distention and pain, alternating constipation and diarrhea with dry and loose stool, flatulence
tongue: red on the sides/pale
pulses: weak (often slippery) on R and wiry on L
LV Overacting on SP
causes: poor diet, emotions, excessive activity, hemorrhage
sx: poor memory, insomnia, palpitation, anxiety, poor appetite, loose stools, fatigue and muscle weakness
tongue: thin and pale
pulses: weak and thready
HT and SP Blood Deficiency
causes: same as KD and LV Yin Def, emotions
sx: nocturnal emission, hearing difficulties, dry throat, dryness of eyes, hair, malar flush, night sweats tinnitus, dull HA, parasthesia in limbs, dizziness, brittle nails
tongue: red with little/no coating
pulses: floating and weak
LV and KD Yin Deficiency
causes: poor diet, excessive consumption of raw/cold foods
sx: scanty periods/amenorrhea, slight abdominal distention, vision problems, dry, brittle nails hair and skin, slightly depressed, aimless feeling, low appetite, weakness and numbness of the limbs
sx: pale especially on sides, maybe orange
pulses: choppy/fine
SP and LV Blood Deficiency
causes: same as KD Yang Def, excessive consumption of raw and cold food
sx: lower backache, cold and weak knees, sensation of cold in back, weak legs, impotence, premature ejaculation, low sperm count, cold and thin sperm, low libidio, edema of legs, profuse clear urine, loose stools abdominal distention
tongue: pale and wet
pulses: deep and weak
