How was Germany and Berlin split after WW2
Germany was divided between France, Britain, USA, and the USSR. Berlin which was in the USSR territory was also split between these four countries
What did USA and USSR disagree on to do with Germany which led to the Berlin Blockade
The USA wanted to introduce democracy back into Germany whereas the Russians wanted a communist state
How did west Germany and West Berlin come to form
The USA convinced Britain and France to join their territory together to form west Germany and the same in Berlin west Berlin. There was now the Allies and the Communists

Allowed for new currency to be introduced. The west of germany was thriving

Stalin ordered all of the routes into Berlin to be blocked as he wanted to drive the Allies out of Berlin. This was in 1948

With support from Britain the US started to send planes into Berlin
