Water freezes on the skin surface

Just fine. Surface skin is really cold.

Get into warm place. Put nipped part under armpits or warm up.

NO. Do not rub the area.

Localized part of skin that is very cold on the surface (only)

Skin feels like a wood board (literally frozen), can’t be depressed.

How do you thaw the skin?
Don’t, unless there is no chance of it re-freezing.

Nothing – leave it frozen

Uncontrolled shivering

Move to warm place, remove wet clothing, bundle up, cover head

Sugary, warm drink

Don’t rub extremities, don’t put in shower/bath
