Conversion Disorder
Might look like the traumatic event they’ve just been exposed to (father had a stroke now daughter has numbness)

Concussive disorder
Sleep distrub, mood change, poor conc, memory, lightheadedness, nausea
Persist days to months, no contact sports immediately
CJ Disease
Personality change over 3 months, disinterested, apathetic, dysarthria, startle response, getting lost
Dx w/ characteristic abnormaliies in post hemispheres on diffusion weighted MRI and 14-3-3 protein in CSF
Mad-cow = slower in younger UK patients
Alzheimers
Paranoia, hoarding, visuospatial defecits
Give quetiapine in older age group
Depression
Different than alzheimers if sleep disturbance and loss of interest? Hmm…
Brain death
Glasgow Coma Scale has score of 3
Spouse would be first decision maker
Unresponsive, on vent, no corneal response, fixed pupils, no cold caloric testing
Dementia
Cog impairment more than memory, severe enough to interfere w/ occupational/social functioning
Just amnestic/nonamnestic single domain dysfn = Mild Cog Imp can progress to dementia
Do board games and play music and maybe exercise to stop progression!
Modify early dementia w/ galantamine (Razadyne), Donepezil (Aricept) and rivastigmine (exelon)
