What is the theory about CMV, EBV and immune maturation
A
That since these viruses infect in such an early stage, already in the breast milk. A theory suggest that herpesviruses modulate our immune system by:
- Boosting NK cells early in life, by inflammatory response
- Increasing resistance to some pathogens

There is two suggesting of the relation between Herpesvirus and cancer
A
Genocentric model - Herpes virus act as an mutagen that modifies normal cells, thus promoting cancer formation
Immunologic microenviroment - Herpes virus can co-operate together with immune cells and thereby either promote or inhibit cancer formation
