Procedure for direct visual inspection of colon (anus to cecum). Endoscopic tube is introduced from anus > anal canal > rectum > colon - cecum
For diagnosis of mucosal polyps, large bowel cancer, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease

Similar to colonoscopy (from anus to descending colon)

Direct visual inspection of the urinary bladder by insertion of cystoscope through the urethra
